the toasters kids
ok, so i couldn't resist the opportunnity to showcase some of my newer work. It is just some basic b&w street photography (some influences being arbus, doisneau, keith carter, and my mentor tom finke) and some edgier (for lack of better words...it's 3 am) color work taken at the same time and location.
these are just "working prints", as i have not yet had an opportunnity to make it into the darkroom to print...they are just scanned images from my contact sheets.
location: tweeter center; camden, nj
date: july, 2007
event: vans warped tour
equipment: Canon A-1 loaded w/ Kokak iso 100
Holga loaded w/Kodak PortraVC160
just so you know
the purpose of this blog is to act as a secondary outlet for my artwork (primarily photography). I had wanted to create one while still in college, but could never find the time...as if i have extra time nowadays!!!
Upon parting from my alma mater (Frostburg State University, if your're interested) i decided not to capitalize on a secure 9 to 5er, but to instead take advantage of my acquired skills and see where they will take me. I am now the proud proprietress of SleepySmile Studio.
I will be posting traditional portraits as well as conceptual photography/portraiture, and studio updates, too, so check back soon for some of my work!
